Remember.

Our memory is an interesting thing. It can retain so much, yet it can so easily forget, or block, so much. I don’t know about you, but in times of stress or heartache, my mind tends to hold onto the negative; the hurt and pain of the past and the wounding words spoken. The life giving words and promises of God go by the wayside as I struggle with the pain of the present.

But it’s during those times that we need to intentionally press in and remember God.

In the darkness of night when our tears are soaking the pillow, we need to remember the promises that God has made to us.

When the world turns its back, we need to remember all the times that God was present. And we need to remember that He always was, is, and will be with us because He has promised to never leave us or forsake us.

In times when the situation looks impossible and there doesn’t seem to be a way out, we need to remember all the times that God has come through.

When people speak words about you or over you that aren’t life giving, remember what God has said about you and that He calls you HIS BELOVED CHILD.

Remember God.

Remember His promises.

Remember His provision.

Remember that He loved you enough to die for you.

Remember.
