Cafe Stories II

I have a couple of cafes that I frequent regularly. And when I say regularly, I mean they don’t even bother asking me what I want to order anymore, they just start getting it ready when they see me walking … Continue reading Cafe Stories II

Sisterhood Award

So I’ve been offline for the last week as I’ve been chilling out in Fiji (will blog about that soon) and came and here to have a looksie at what’s been going on while I’ve been away and found myself nominated for the Sisterhood-of-the-world-bloggers award by  https://thestrangeher.wordpress.com/2015/01/06/bittersweet-sensations so thanks for the nomination! (Y’all should check out her blog cause it’s super cool and will hook you to read more!). At first, when I saw the nomination, I wasn’t too keen on it, but as I kept reading, I found myself smiling and pretty stoked about receiving it cause it made me feel … Continue reading Sisterhood Award

Cafe stories.

I’m a coffee drinker. A big coffee drinker. And I like nothing more than going to one of my favourite cafes, ordering a coffee and either reading a book, or doing some writing. It’s something I do most days and it’s very relaxing for me because I’m left on my own with my coffee and my thoughts. However the last few cafe visits have been anything but relaxing because the last few times I’ve been, I’ve found myself sitting next to couples, which is usually fine, but these couples have been fighting, or breaking up. And it’s been awkard for all … Continue reading Cafe stories.

Waiting impatiently for dreams to come true

It’s my birthday next week and I’m feeling reflective, sort of. I was having a think today about how I’m feeling at the moment versus how I was feeling last year and found myself thinking back past last year’s birthday to the one before, and the one before that, and the one before that. There were a few to reflect on. But that’s beside the point. What struck me as I was going back in time was that for the however many years, I’ve sort of lived my life in advance, thinking about what my life will look like when … Continue reading Waiting impatiently for dreams to come true

May we never meet again (in the nicest possible way of course)

Today at 10:30 am, my mamma and I walked into the oncology ward of our local hospital for her fourteenth, and last, chemotherapy session. To say there was mixed emotions would be an understatement! We walked in excited and anxious at the same time. We have been counting down to todays session since August, eagerly looking to the finish line. January 8th, 2015, was a date that was constantly brought up in conversations with mum and I; it was our ‘light at the end of the tunnel’. I used it to encourage her to hang in there, to see her … Continue reading May we never meet again (in the nicest possible way of course)

Well, hello there!

So why am I here? Well, I’m here, in this little (or not so little) online world, because I want to share my thoughts and experiences with other people so that I can humour and entertain people, as well as help them by sharing my faith and encouraging them through the trials of life. I will say that I am pretty quirky at times (some say weird, but I’m okay with that!), so my random thoughts will come through my blog, as well as my private jokes. And by private jokes I mean the jokes that I tell myself in … Continue reading Well, hello there!
