At first, when I saw the nomination, I wasn’t too keen on it, but as I kept reading, I found myself smiling and pretty stoked about receiving it cause it made me feel like someone wanted to read what I had to say. I also thought it was a great way to interact with other bloggers. So here are the Q’s that I got…

The Questions

Who was your first crush and what did you like about that person?

I can’t even remember his name but he was a kid in my 3rd grade class at school and he was the cool kid that all the cool kids hung out with. I wasn’t a cool kid, more an outcast, so he never gave me the time of day. We went through primary school together and only had one interaction together, which was when I was doing show and tell and he heckled me infron of the class. Clearly, I’ve moved on from it..

What is something about you that you’re most proud of?

I quit the corporate life to study counselling and am currently using my counselling skills by volunteering with a crisis line. I had to adjust to the change in pay, which was significant, but am happier than I have been in years.

Where is your safe haven? Why?

My faith. My Bible is my safe place because it’s where I find unconditional love and peace and guidance. It’s the place I can find all the answers to my questions and where I can feel safe knowing that God has me covered.

What is your favorite genre in movies?

Romance, comedy and action…well more romance and comedy…..okay I like romance.

If you’d trade a talent with a friend, what would it be and why?

I would like my friends musical talent. Some of my friends have the most amazing voices, while I sound like I have a frog and a cat stuck in my throat when I try to sing.

What is your biggest insecurity?

This is a little tricky to answer but if I’m honest, my personality because there has been so many people on my journey that just haven’t liked me, so from a young age I became conscious of my personality being too strong for people and I would occassionally shut down and not be myself. As I’ve gotten older I’ve gotten more confident but it creeps up on my every now and then when I meet new people.

Who is the person you like most in the world?

My mum. Even as a 35 year old woman, she still gives me cuddles and tells me she loves me and is proud of me on a weekly (sometimes daily) basis. And she does this while she struggles with depression, as well as recovering from breast cancer and chemotherapy.

If you could invent anything but a time machine, what would it be and why?

A jar of Nutella that never runs out. No explanation needed.

Do you have a particular way of making someone feel you love them?

I tell them regularly that I love them and appreciate them. I give them my time and my heart and share my food with them. Occassionally I will use buy gifts.

How do you see yourself in five years?

An acclaimed author travelling the world as a missionary.
