Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ – Galatians 6:2

One of the greatest blessings in life is having people around you that love you and care for you. People that champion you and will be there to support you when you need it. When Moses had to keep his arms raised all night to win the battle, it was only through the support of Aaron, his brother, and Hur, a companion, that he was able to do it because when his arms got tired, they stood either side of him and raised his arms for him. Supporting people and walking alongside of them through the struggle is not only one of the privileges we get in life, but one of the things God desires us to do; to help each other, love each other and spur each other on. Today, take a moment to look around you and see who you can love and support. Reach out to someone who is in need and offer to share their burden. You could be the only one in their world who does so and this simple act could be what shows them the love Jesus has for them.

Lord, we thank you that you have surrounded us with people to love and care for us. Today, in the midst of all we have to do, would you open our eyes to the people around us who need care and support and enable us to be Your hands and feet and show them the love you have shown us. In Jesus name, amen.
