Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Psalms 139:23 NIV
Have you ever tried to explain how you’re feeling about something only to stumble over the words? Try as you might, you just can’t articulate what you’re feeling or thinking. It can be frustrating. It can also be lonely, because if you can’t explain it, how will anyone understand how you feel?
But God knows. God knows your heart and your mind. He understands how you feel. You don’t even need to try and explain it, He already knows. He knows your thoughts, good and bad. He knows what makes your heart beat faster. He know what causes you fear and anxiety. He knows all these things without you having to utter a word. How? Because He intimately and delicately put you together in your mother’s womb. He made you with love, and His love for you today is as strong as the day He created you. No one will ever love you as much as God loves you.
When we open our hearts to God and invite Him into our life, it means we never have to feel alone again. It means we get to experience a beautiful relationship of unconditional love from the One who created us. Wherever your head or heart may be today, rejoice in knowing that you’re never alone and you are loved with an ever lasting love.
Father, thank you that you know our hearts and you know our thoughts and you still love us. Thank you for your Holy Spirit that leads and guides us and reminds us we are never alone. We give you our hearts and minds and ask you to be Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.
