When have you doubted God? Have you ever had a moment where you have doubted that God would deliver on what He promised? When you have cried out and prayed and prayed and prayed but nothing has happened. It’s easy to just think that God has forgotten us and is no longer interested in us. It’s easy to believe that God is absent or distant. But the truth is that if God has promised us something, He will fulfil that promise; He will come good on His word and bring it to pass. It may not be within our time frame, and it may not necessarily look like we expect it to, but it will happen. Because God is faithful and He is good and when He doesn’t answer our prayer immediately, it doesn’t mean He is being mean or punishing us, because that’s not His heart. It just means that He is still working it out for us. He has answered your prayer, but you just can’t see it yet. If God has promised you something, can I encourage you to hold onto it and to keep bringing it to God. Don’t abandon the promise, tuck it away in your heart and trust that God is faithful and will fulfil the promise He made you.

Lord, thank you that you are faithful. Thank you, Father, that your heart is for us and even when we can’t see, you are working for our good. Give us a steadfast spirit that holds firmly to the truth of who you are, Lord, and help us to not be discouraged but hopeful that we will yet see your promises fulfilled. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
