There are times when we can’t find the words to express how we feel. Life can be tough and trying to put into words your heartache can be hard. Often, the hurt or anger is so deep that praying becomes difficult; not only do we not know what to pray, we sometimes can’t pray, as our pain is so deep. When you can’t find the words, know that your heavenly Father can hear your unspoken cries and can hear the whisper of your heart. He knows what you are feeling, thinking and hurting for, and He is right beside you whispering, “I know, beloved. I hear you.” He knows us better than we know ourselves, so when you are struggling, trust Him with your heart and rest assured that He loves you and is working to ease your burden.

Prayer

Lord God, there are times when the burdens are too heavy to bear and the pain is too strong for words. But You, O Lord, know exactly what we feel and what we need, and when the words escape us, You intercede on our behalf. Thank you, Lord, for your love and endless grace. Amen.
