My Easter heart

  Easter is here. It feels like we barely got through Christmas and New Year, and now the hot cross buns are all over the place and Easter eggs have become a staple at every meal, and in some cases, replacing the meal itself. The other night a couple of friends and I were driving home after dinner. We’d had a great meal and were driving with the windows down while we sang along – loudly and, on my part, badly – to some RnB music. When the known is scarier than the unknown.

‘It’s the fear of the unknown.’ I’ve heard that quote many times. Many times. It’s always been an interesting quote to me because I find the concept of fear interesting. Fear fascinates me and slightly terrifies me. To me, there is generally three types of fear: the fear of something, like snakes or spiders or penguins, and that’s a totally valid fear because snakes and spiders and penguins are the devils spawn. There is the fear that arises when you are in a dangerous situation where you could potentially get hurt. Double Dipping

A few friends and I were catching up at a cafe the other night when my friend started sharing about this boy she had met at a house party. As we’re all single, we get excited when one of us meets someone and we discuss it in much detail. This was no different, so we all attentively listened to her share about this boy and his charms, ‘oohing’ and ‘ahhing’ along with her. Standing in faith for tomorrow

Tomorrow is Mothers Day, a time to stop and honour all the mothers out there for being awesome and for doing the toughest job on earth; raising kids! I love Mother’s Day as it gives me a chance to spoil my mamma, something she doesn’t let me do often. We’re taking her out to lunch and I’ve gotten her some goodies to pamper her with.
